I was so thrilled when the Johnson Family chose me to photograph their Maternity and Newborn Session.  Meghan and I hit it off immediately on the phone during her consultation.  We had so much in common and I was so glad she asked me to photograph her Maternity and Newborn Sessions.  She bought this beautiful lace gown and flower crown on Etsy. 

We ended up meeting at The Columbus Park of Roses. Our session time was scheduled for 6:30 but I was checking the weather and the forecast was showing thunderstorms at 7pm.  I asked to move the session to 6pm and was excited as I love to photograph on cloudy days as the clouds act as a softbox and the images always turn out beautifully! We showed up and her husband was on his way from work so I decided we should start some without him since I do single shots and couple shots.  Within minutes from taking our first shot it started pouring.  Meghan was so calm and relaxed and I loved that about her.  We had a Plan B to shoot at my studio if the rain didn't stop. We hung out under a tree and even started shooting as the large tree provided plenty of coverage.  The only issue was that my camera did get wet and was acting crazy!  With some time my camera was fine and thankfully it stopped raining and the sun even came out!  I loved all the images from her gallery.  She is glowing in all the images.  I can't wait to work with them when their new bundle of joy arrives in November!
